Oxford University press

Did you know the first book was printed in #Oxford in 1478, just two years after Caxton set up the first printing press in England?

The University has a rich history of printing, formalised in 1636 with the Great Charter secured by Archbishop Laud from King Charles I, which entitled the University to print 'all manner of books'.

Today, the #OxfordUniversityPress has offices in 50 countries, and is the largest university press in the world. Find out more about its history here: http://po.st/lwcWtb
