திடீரெனெ என சோதனைகளா......?
சோதனைகள் நடத்தப்படும் முன் சந்தேகம் எழுந்த பலரின் நடவடிக்கைகள் கண்காணிக்கப்பட்டன என வருமானவரித்துறையின் அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்தனர்.
பெருமளவிலான பணப்பரிவர்த்தனைகள் குறித்த ஆவணங்கள், வருமானவரிக் கணக்குகள் ஆகியவற்றைச் சேகரித்து ஆராய்ந்ததாக அதிகாரிகள் கூறினார்கள்.
நவம்பர் 8ஆம் தேதிய பணமதிப்பிழப்பு அறிவிப்பிற்குப்பின் பெருமளவில் தங்கக் கட்டிகள் அந்தக் குடும்பத்தால் வாங்கிக் குவிக்கப்பட்டன என்று குறிப்பாகக் கிடைத்த தகவலை ஆராயும் முயற்சிகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டன.பெருமளவிலான பழைய நோட்டுக்கள் மாற்றப்பட்டு எங்கு எனத் தெரியாத ஓர் இடத்திற்கு அனுப்பி வைக்கப்பட்டன என்றும் ஒரு தகவல் தெரிவித்தது. காஞ்சியுரம் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள சிறுதாவூர் பண்ணை வீட்டில் பரபரப்பான செயலகள் நடைபெறுவதாக எழுந்த வதந்தியின் காரணமாக, முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதாவின் மறைவுக்குப் பல நாள்கள் முன்பாகவே குடும்ப உறுப்பினர்கள் கண்காணிக்கப்பட்டு வந்தனர். -ஆங்கில தி ஹிண்டு நவம்பர் 11, 2017 பக்.1&5
Reiterating that the searches were not instigated by the Centre, senior officials of the Income Tax department said that the activities of dozens of suspects were put under surveillance before the massive searches were launched in different States. The officials said they did their homework by gathering documents pertaining to major financial transactions and tax returns.
Sources said efforts were on to probe a specific input that the family had accumulated huge quantities of gold ingots immediately after the demonetisation policy was announced on November 8 last year. There was also an input that a huge amount of cash (old currency) was exchanged and transported to an undisclosed location. The activities of some family members came under the scanner days ahead of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s death, amid rumours of hectic activity in the sprawling Siruthavoor farmhouse in Kancheepuram district.
