India’s Heritage is a gift to the World
I am going to reintroduce our Indian heritage sites time to time, because it's time to inform World. In fact, Bharat is a land resounding with the glories of opulent dynasties and flourishing civilisations. Our rich heritages' have always been a matter of pride to us, they not only reflect our culture but also reflects our traditional values. Our heritage lies in the treasure of our art and architecture. Astounding diversity of languages and cultures in India is unique and unparalleled. They've always played a key role in Historic and cultural development, Social development, Economic value and Sustainable cultural development.
The rich heritage of Bharat is an all-embracing confluence of traditions and customs. From laying the foundations of modern day societies to teaching the world how to count, India’s traditions and unparalleled heritage has shaped critical thinking and influenced mankind profoundly. That other than the Taj Mahal, India has 39 World UNESCO-recognised Heritage sites And that there are a mix of monuments, temples, palaces, forts, cave complexes as well as large expanses of natural eco-systems such as wildlife sanctuaries and mountain ranges And that other than the UNESCO listed sites;
From the Sun Temple at Konark, the 10th century Khajuraho Temples in Madhya Pradesh, to the impregnable and magnificent Meherangarh Fort of Jodhpur, to the rock-cut cave temples of Badami, Karnataka, the Victoria Memorial of Kolkata and the Mysore Palace, the Rani ki Vav (stepwell) in Patan Guajart, the holy city of Varanasi and so many many more. From Puri Jagannath temple to Bhubaneswar Lingaraj temple; Odisha has an illustrious cultural history dating back over two thousand years. There are many historical sites to visit throughout the State, as well as several heritage monuments that reflect the culture.
India's rich civilisation and history have resulted in a plethora of historical monuments. The extraordinary efforts to preserve cultural treasures are showing results. India has been successful in bringing back ancient antiquities and relics from all across the world. On #WorldHeritageDay, we not only commemorate the value of culture and heritage in our lives but also intend to make people understand the cultural histories, customs and learning from each other. Let's protect and preserve our rich heritage.
