டெல்லியில் மறைவு. நேத்தாஜி கூறிய தமிழ் இனத்தின் வீரத்தின் சாட்சி….

Freedom Fighter Kamatchi Ammal (Azad Hind Fauz - Rani Jhansi Regiment) is no more. She breathed her last today at 5 am. She was undergoing treatment of her lungs and spine; under ventilator the last six days.

Meenakshi Ammal Maaji joined Azad Hind Fauz at the age of 18. Her father worked at a jewelry shop in Rangoon. She used to bring meals for her father everyday. Inspired by Netaji's speech 'Give me blood, I will give you freedom', she joined Bose for the freedom of India. Her ancestral base is Tamil Nadu.

When I met her few months ago, she could hardly move on her own. But as soon as she heard me utter Netaji Subhas Bose's name, she raised her hand, saluting, in his honor.

Dr Raj Kapoor had provided her a room in Delhi and she was under the care of family of Azad Hind Fauz veteran Sri Rangaswamy Madhvan Pillai.

Her cremation will be done with honor by the Delhi Police tomorrow (31-7-2023)at Green Park.
