ராமசாமி அவர்கள் இன்று காலையில் காலமானார். இன்று அவரது இல்லத்திற்குச் சென்று அஞ்சலி செலுத்தினேன். கிட்டத்தட்ட 40 ஆண்டு காலமாக அவர் எனக்குப் பழக்கமானவர். பிரபாகரன் நெடுமாறன் போன்றவர்களுடன் சந்திப்பும் நட்பும் கொண்டிருந்தவர்! அதுபோலப் பஸ்வான் தமிழ்நாட்டுக்கு வந்தாலும் அவரைச் சந்திப்பார்!. 1998 நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தலில் அதிமுக மதிமுக கூட்டணியில் வடசென்னைத் தொகுதி ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட போது அதை வைகோ மறுத்து இரண்டு ஒரே சாதிக்காரர்கள் கூட்டணியில் நிற்க முடியாது என்று தடுத்து விட்டார். அப்போது ராமசாமி அவர்கள் நேரடியாகவே அவரிடம் பத்திரிகையாளர் கூட்டத்தில் இதைக் கேள்வியாகக் கேட்டார்! காலகாலமாக உங்களுக்கு என உழைத்து வருகிறார் கேட்டால் நாயுடு சாதி என்று பேசுகிறீர்கள்! என்ன அர்த்தத்தில் நீங்கள் பேசுகிறீர்கள் என்று கேட்டதோடு மட்டுமல்லாமல் அவருடைய கடினமான உழைப்பிற்கு நீங்கள் ஒரு மரியாதை செய்யும்படி , வாய்ப்புத் தருவதுதானே முறை என்றார் . அப்படி அவர் கேட்டதற்கு இன்றும் சாட்சியாக இருப்பவர் மை பா நாராயணன். அப்படியாக நண்பர் ராமசாமி என் மீது அன்பு கொண்டவர். கலைஞரிடமும் எனக்கான நியாயங்களைப் பேசுவார். 25 வருஷமா உங்களோட தான் இருக்கிறார் எதுவுமே செய்யாட்டினா அவரது அரசியல் எதிர்காலம் என்ன ஆகும் என்றெல்லாம் கேட்கக்கூடிய நல்ல நேர்மையான மனிதர். அவர் இன்று மறைந்திருக்கிறார் அது எனக்கு தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் ஒரு இழப்பு ஆகும். அன்னாரின் நினைவு என்றென்றைக்கும் இருக்கும்.
