As I turn to look at the path I have traversed,
A pride swells within.
Nowhere and with no one,
Even during tough moments,
have I lowered my self esteem.
I have been betrayed,
and shamed by thankless trusted ones.
Great heights I may have clambered kneeling,
but Bharathi's bold words kept my head high.
I would never have forgiven myself
had I stooped to conquer.
Adamance, determination self respect-
