BBC தமிழ் - சகோதரி ஆனந்தி passed away last night.ஆழ்ந்த இரங்கல்கள்.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Anandhi Sooriyapragasam yesterday. Known affectionately as "Anandhi" Mrs. Sooriyapragasam was a pioneering figure in Tamil broadcasting, breaking barriers as the first Tamil woman to join the BBC Tamil service and rised to the director of BBC Thamilosi.
She also served as a trustee of TDA UK. Details regarding the viewing and funeral arrangements will be shared soon. Condolences.
