Nani Palkhivala who represented Indira Gandhi before the vacation bench of Krishna Iyer J in the Raj Narain Case withdrew from the brief when emergency was declared.   Fali Nariman similarly resigned as ASG when Indira proclaimed Emergency!  A generation of lawyers with spine!
