 யாராயிருந்தாலும் மனித வாழ்க்கை என்றேனும் ஒருநாள் முடியப் போவதுதான். நிரந்தரமானவர் யாருமில்லை. தனக்கு விதிக்கப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கையை அமைதியாக ஏற்று கம்பீரமாக, சமரசம் செய்து கொள்ளாமல், தன்னைப் பற்றிய கழிவிரக்கத்திற்கு இடம்கொடுக்காமல், ரசனையோடு வாழ்ந்து நிறைவு செய்திருந்தார் என்று நமக்கு பெருமை சேர்க்கும் விதமாக நம் காலத்துக் பின் பேச வேண்டும்.

Shanti Bhushan was a renowned lawyer, and he had fought the Raj Narain case against Indira Gandhi before the Emergency, and Indira Gandhi lost that case. He received his reward for it when Morarji Desai's government came to power at the center, and he was made the Law Minister. In 2012, when the Anna movement happened, father and son both actively participated in it, and later they also became founding members of the Aam Aadmi Party. At that time, Shanti Bhushan had donated one crore rupees to the Aam Aadmi Party. Later, differences arose between these father and son and Kejriwal over several issues, especially after the statement on the right to referendum in Kashmir, when the Aam Aadmi Party started distancing itself from them. After that referendum statement, he even got kicked right in his office. After that, disagreements over some issues escalated so much that during a meeting, Kejriwal and his supporters hurled the worst abuses at Prashant Bhushan, his father Shanti Bhushan, and Yogendra Yadav, and threw them out of the party in utter disgrace.  Sir Ramasamy Chettiar Kandasamy Shanmukham Chettiar KCIE (17 October 1892 – 5 May 1953) was an Indian lawyer, economist and statesman who served as first Finance Minister of India from 1947 to 1948. He also served as President of India's Central Legislative Assembly from 1933 to 1935 and Diwan of Cochin kingdom from 1935 to 1941.

Shanmukham Chettiar was born in Coimbatore 1892 and studied at Madras Christian College and Madras Law College. On completion of his education, Shanmukham Chettiar joined politics and served both in the Indian nationalist Swaraj Party as well as the Justice Party. Shanmukham Chettiar was elected to the Central Legislative Assembly of India and served as its Deputy President from 1931 to 1935. After losing the 1935 elections, Chettiar returned to South India where he served as Diwan of Cochin kingdom from 1935 to 1941. On India's independence in 1947, Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India chose Chettiar as his Finance Minister . But his removal was very bad and insulted then Madras presidency now Tamilnadu. Shanmukham Chettiar died on 5 May 1953. கோவையில் பிறந்த இவர் மிகச்சிறந்த தமிழறிஞர் சுதந்திர இந்தியாவின் முதல் நிதியமைச்சர், சிலப்பதிகாரம் காத்த சீலர், மகாத்மா காந்தியின் அன்பை பெற்றவர், தமிழ் தொண்டர் ஆர்.கே. சண்முகம் செட்டியார் அவர்களின் 134வது பிறந்தநாள் இன்று. டெல்லி தமிழ்ச் சங்கம், லண்டன் தமிழ்ச் சங்கம் போன்றவற்றைத் தோற்றுவித்தவர்களில் இவரும் ஒருவர். கோவையில் பஞ்சாலைகள் உருவாகவும் கோவை மாபெரும் தொழில் நகரமாகவும் இவருடைய பங்களிப்புகள் ஏராளம். கொச்சி சமஸ்தானத்தின் திவான். ஐம்பெரும் காப்பியங்களில் ஒன்றான சிலப்பதிகாரத்தை சாதாரண மக்களும் புரிந்து கொள்ளக் கூடிய எளிய தமிழில் உரை எழுதி வெளியிட்டார். தமிழ் இசை இயக்கத்தைத் தோற்றுவித்தார். தேவாரப் பண் ஆராய்ச்சி கருத்தரங்கங்கள் நடத்தி, தேவாரப் பண்ணிசை இராகங்களை முறைப்படுத்தினார். தமது ஊரான கோவை மாநகரின் அருகில், நொய்யல் ஆற்றங்கரையில் உள்ள கீழை சிதம்பரம் என்றழைக்கப்படும் திருப்பேரூரில் பேரூராதீனத்தில் அருள்மிகு சாந்தலிங்க அடிகளார் மடாலயத்தில் தமிழ்க்கல்லூரி ஒன்று உருவாகக் காரணமாக அமைந்தார். குற்றாலக் குறவஞ்சிக்கு அழகிய உரை எழுதினார். வசந்தம்' என்ற இலக்கிய மாத இதழைத் தொடங்கியதோடு, தம் வாழ்நாளின் இறுதி வரை அதன் பதிப்பாசிரியராகவும் இருந்தார். நேரு காலத்தில நிதி அமைச்சர் பொறுப்பில் இருந்து இவரை நீக்கியது லேதனையான விடையம்
