Published in two parts, in 1605 and 1615, Don Quixote is the most influential work of literature from the Spanish Golden Age and the entire Spanish literary canon. As a founding work of modern Western literature, it regularly appears high on lists of the greatest works of fiction ever published, such as the Bokklubben World Library collection that cites Don Quixote as the authors' choice for the "best literary work ever written".

Don Quixote (Quixote of La Mancha) is a spanish novel. The  story  is about a man named Don(a spanish word for "Honor" ) Quixote who is fond of reading books and it may sound infrequent to you but he gets so busy reading literature of different genre , specially chivalry, adventure and fantasy that he loses his wits and comes to believe that he is a knight destined to revive the golden age of chivalry. 

With this intention in mind, he sets out on a journey along with his faithful squire, Sancho Panza.

The kind of adventurous and humorous journey that the two get involve in is collectively responsible in writing this beautiful novel as Don Quixote himself wished in the book. This is cited as the first European novel of modern era.
