While no CJI till date has faced eviction for over staying in the official residence, many out of Delhi CJIs have chosen to stay on in Delhi post retirement.

 While no CJI till date has faced eviction for over staying in the official residence, many out of Delhi CJIs have chosen to stay on in Delhi post retirement. An exception was #ChiefJusticeBharucha who was not only determined to surrender his bungalow on the date of retirement but also to leave delhi on the same day and never to return!

Also Justice #MNVenkatachaliah moved out of his bungalow on his retirement day, but to spend a few days in the official quarters of Justice N Venkatachala, finished off pending business and went home to Bangalore.
