We do not want politics to shift to court rooms

On Thursday, Supreme Court expounded that,”We do not want politics to shift to court rooms”.
-------------------------------------
Apex Court was hearing arguments on whether a political party could file and pursue Public Interest Litigation (PIL). Supreme Court was hearing Senior Advocate  Prashant Bhushan, appearing on behalf of NGO ‘Swaraj Abhiyan’ which had filed the PIL on plight of farmers in the 12 drought-hit states and submitted that if a political party files a petition in the public interest, Courts can hear it.
Supreme Court Bench comprising of Justice Madan B Lokur and Justice NV Ramana enunciated that,”Apprehension is that this would shift politics to Courts. We do not want this”.
Issue came up after the Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi told Bench that NGO had made its intention clear to continue as the wing of a Political Party, if not the political party itself, and it should not be associated with the PIL.
Attorney General Rohatgi stated that application had been filed by ‘Swaraj India’ before Election Commission (EC) for registration as a political party was still pending.
