2024 நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தலில் பாஜகவை வீழ்த்தும் எண்ணத்தோடு ஒன்றிணைந்த 15 எதிர்க்கட்சிகள்  திட்டமிட்டபடி ஜூன் 23, 2023 அன்று (இதே நாட்கள் இந்திரா காந்தி அவசரநிலை 1975 இல் அறிவித்தார். இதில் பலர் அன்று காங்கிரஸை எதிர்த்தனர். இன்று அதே தலைவர்கள் காங்கிரஸை சவப்பு கம்பளமிட்டு  வரவேற்றனர் ) பீகார் கூட்டத்தில் கலந்து கொண்டன. 

ஆனால் இந்தக்  கூட்டத்தில்  பல சுவாரசியமான நகைமுரண்கள்  வெளிப்பட்டன. 

1. டெல்லி அவசரச் சட்டம் விவகாரத்தில் காங்கிரஸ் தனக்கு ஆதரவு அளிக்கவில்லை  என்று குற்றஞ்சாடியது ஆம் ஆத்மிக் கட்சி. 

2. 370 வது பிரிவை ரத்து செய்த போது பாஜக அரசாங்கத்தை முன்பு ஆதரித்த  அரவிந்த் கெஜ்ரிவாலை உமர் அப்துல்லா தாக்கிப் பேசினார். 

3. இந்தப் பீகார் கூட்டத்தை மம்தா ஜெயப்பிரகாஷ் நாராயணனின்  பீகார் இயக்கத்துடன் ஒப்பிட்டார். ஆனால் வேடிக்கை என்னவென்றால், 1970-களில் ஜெயப்பிரகாஷ் நாராயணனின் வாகன அணிவகுப்பை அன்று காங்கிரஸில் இருந்த மம்தா வழிமறித்து கார் முகப்பில் நடனமாடினார். 

4. 1970-களில் ஜேபி தலைமையிலான இயக்கத்தில் இருந்த நிதிஷ் குமாரும் லல்லு பிரசாத் யாதவும் காங்கிரஸுக்கு எதிராக போராடினர்.  இப்போது அதே காங்கிரஸோடு இணக்கமாக இருக்கின்றனர் நிதிஷ்குமாரும்  லல்லுவும். இன்னும் ஏன் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்ளவில்லை என்று ராகுலிடம் விசாரிக்கும் அளவுக்கு லல்லு காங்கிரஸோடு தோழமையுணர்வோடு இருக்கிறார்.   

கூட்டத்தில் கலந்து கொண்ட தமிழக முதல்வர் ஸ்டாலின்  தனது கட்சியின் இந்தி எதிர்ப்பு க் கொள்கையை கொஞ்சநேரம் ஒதுக்கி வைத்துவிட்டு  அனைவரும் இந்தியில் பேசுவதை  வேடிக்கை பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.

"இந்தி தெரியாது போடா" என்ற கோஷத்துடன்  முன்பு டி-ஷர்ட் அணிந்து வலம் வந்தவர்கள் தி.மு.க.வினர் என்பது பெரிய நகைமுரண்.

மேலும், பாட்னா நிகழ்ச்சி குறித்து பேசுவதற்காக செய்தியாளர்கள் சந்திப்பில் ஸ்டாலின் கலந்து கொள்ளவில்லை. காரணம், அவர் வீடு திரும்பும் அவசரத்தில் இருந்தார் என்று அவர் கூறினார். ஆனால் உண்மை என்னவென்றால், அது அவருக்காக பிரத்யேகமாக தயாராக இருந்த விமானம்.  எனவே அவர் செய்தியாளர்களிடம் பேசுவதற்காக இன்னும் கொஞ்சம் காத்திருந்திருக்கலாம். ஆனால் ஏனோ தெரியவில்லை,  அவர் அவ்வாறு செய்யவில்லை.

காங்கிரஸ் தலைவர் மல்லிகார்ஜுன கார்கே, காங்கிரஸ் முன்னாள் எம்.பி ராகுல் காந்தி, மேற்கு வங்க முதல்வர் மம்தா பானர்ஜி, ராஷ்ட்ரீய ஜனதா தளத் தலைவர் லல்லு பிரசாத் யாதவ், டெல்லி முதல்வர் அரவிந்த் கெஜ்ரிவால், பஞ்சாப் முதல்வர் பகவந்த் மான், தமிழக முதல்வர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின், ஜார்க்கண்ட் முதல்வர் ஹேமந்த் சோரன், சமாஜ்வாடி கட்சித் தலைவர் அகிலேஷ் யாதவ், சிவசேனா தலைவர் உத்தவ் தாக்கரே, தேசியவாத காங்கிரஸ் தலைவர் சரத் பவார்,   தேசியவாத காங்கிரஸ் செயல் தலைவர்கள் சுப்ரியா சுலே, பிரபுல் படேல், பிடிபி தலைவர் மெகபூபா முப்தி, ஜேகேஎன்சி தலைவர் உமர் அப்துல்லா மற்றும் மார்க்சிஸ்ட் தலைவர் சீதாராம் யெச்சூரி உள்ளிட்டோர் பங்கேற்றனர்.

ஆந்திர முதல்வர் ஜெகன்மோகன் ரெட்டி, தெலங்கானா முதல்வர் கே.சந்திரசேகர ராவ், ஒடிசா முதல்வர் நவீன் பட்நாயக் ஆகியோர் இந்த கூட்டத்தை புறக்கணித்துவிட்டு பாஜகவுக்கு எதிரான ஒன்றிணைந்த கூட்டணியை உருவாக்குவதற்கான எதிர்க்கட்சிகளின் முயற்சியிலிருந்து விலகிக் கொண்டனர். 

மொத்தத்தில் அவர்கள் வந்தார்கள்; கலந்தார்கள்; பின் கலைந்தார்கள், எந்தவொரு வலுவான நம்பிக்கையையும் உருவாக்கமல்.

ஜூலை 10 அல்லது 11-ம் தேதி சிம்லாவில் இந்த சந்திப்பு நடைபெறும் என்று சொல்லப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. 

Anti-BJP opposition front exposes its own chinks in armor

Raising the pitch for a united opposition front to take on the BJP in the 2024 parliamentary elections, 15 parties across the India attended the Bihar meeting on June 23, 2023, as scheduled. ( very same days during 1975 Indira Gandhi declared Emergency. Very same leaders opposed emergency. Now they invited Congress. It is funny ) But the meeting threw up several interesting ironies. 

1. AAP took on Congress over the issue of Delhi ordinance. 

2. Arvind Kejriwal snubbed by Omar Abdullah over the former’s support to the BJP government’s revocation of Article 370.

3. Mamata invoked Jayaprakash Narayan, comparing the June 23 oppopsition conclave to the late leader’s Bihar Movement. But the irony is that back in the day Mamata blocked Jayaprakash Narayan’s convoy, dancing on the bonnet. 

4. Nitish Kumar and Lallu Prasad Yadav back in the 1970 led by JP were up in arms against the Congress – the same party which they are comfortable with now. Lallu with care and concern enquired with Rahul why he is yet to get married.  

5. Stalin, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, who attended the meet, watched all speak in Hindi, putting behind him his party’s anti-Hindi rhetoric.

It is a great irony that not long ago it was the DMK activists who roamed about wearing T-shirt with the following slogan: “Hindi theriyathu poda” (We don’t know Hindi, get away you folks!)

Moreover, Stalin  did not attend press meet to speak about the Patna event. The reason, he said, was that he was in a hurry to catch flight back home. But the truth is that it was a chartered flight exclusively ready for him.  So he would have waited a little more so that he could speak to the media persons. But he did not do so for reasons only known to him.

The leaders who attended the meeting were Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, former Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, NCP president Sharad Pawar, NCP working presidents Supriya Sule and Praful Patel, PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti, JKNC leader Omar Abdullah, and CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury.

Obviously Andhra Pradesh Chief Miniser Jagan Mohan  Reddy, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Odisha Chief Minister Navin Padnaik skipped the meeting, washing their hands off the opposition initiative to forge a united anti-BJP front.

They came, they assembled, they spoke and they dispersed, leaving no powerful hopes. A repeat of this meet will be held in Shimla around July 10 or 11. Well. Wait and watch!
