Illustrated weekly ஒரு காலத்தில் பிரசித்தி பெற்ற வாசிக்க அற்புதமான ஆங்கில வார இதழ். 1880ல் துவங்கப்பட்டு நூறாண்டுகள் கடந்து 1993 நிறுத்தப்பட்டது. இதன் ஆசிரியர்களாக சீதாராமன், குஷ்வந்த் சிங், எம்.வி. காமத், பிரிட்தீஷ் நந்தி. பிரித்தீஷ் நந்தி என்னுடைய நண்பர். தமிழ்நாட்டின் செய்தியாளர் நண்பர் கே.பி. சுனில் அறிமுகப்படுத்தி வைத்தார். ஜெயலலிதா 1992ல் முதல்வராக இருந்த போது Illustrated weekly, பிரிட்தீஷ் நந்தி, கே.பி.சுனில் ஆகியோர் மீது மானநஷ்ட வழக்கு Egmore Metropolitan Court எழும்பூர் குற்றவியல் பெருநகர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் தாக்கல் செய்த போது Illustrated weekly இதழுக்கும், அதன் ஆசிரியர் பிரிட்தீஷ் நந்திக்கும், சென்னை செய்தியாளர் கே.பி.சுனிலுக்கும் வழக்கறிஞராக ஆஜராகி விடுதலையும் பெற்றுத் தந்தேன். 

Illustratedweeklyயின் 1980-1993

வரைதொகுப்புகளை பைண்ட் செய்து வைத்துள்ளேன். அவ்வப்போது படிக்க சுவாரசியமாக இருக்கும். மாறுபட்ட கோணத்தில் ஈர்க்கும் மொழிநடையில் வித்தியாசமான  புகைப்படங்கள், கார்டூன்கள் என்பது அந்த Illustrated weekly தனிச்சிறப்பு. அந்த இதழ் நிறுத்தப்படும் போது இந்திய மக்கள் கவலைப்பட்டதுண்டு.

A popular English weekly magazine Illustrated weekly was started in 1880 and passed hundreds of years before it was stopped in 1993. It was an English-language weekly newsmagazine publication which started publication in India.

Former renowned editors at The Illustrated Weekly of India: Avadhanam Sita Raman, Khushwant Singh, M. V. Kamath, Pritish Nandy.. Pritish Nandy is my friend. Tamil Nadu Press Friend Sunil introduced him. When Jayalalithaa first filed a defamation case against Illustrated weekly, Prithish Nandi and KP Sunil in 1992, I appeared for that case and got them acuitted during the trial.
