தலைமறைவாக வாழும் காபுல் பெண்கள் - Underground Girls of Kabul -by Jenny Nordberg.

ஆங்கிலத்தில் ”தி அண்டர்கிரவுண்ட் கேர்ள்ஸ் ஆப் காபூல்“ -ஜென்னி நோட்பெர்க்  எழுதிய நூல் ஹச்ட்டே இந்தியா வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
 காபூல் பெண்கள் குடும்ப வாழ்க்கையில் படும் துயர்களையும், பாடுகளையும் சொல்கின்ற நூலாக இருக்கின்றது.

தாம்பத்தியம், மகப்பேறு என பல சிக்கல்களில் காபூல்  பெண்கள் என்னென்ன அவஸ்தை படுகிறார்கள் என்பதை இப்படைப்பின் படைப்பாசிரியர் விவரிக்கும் போது வேதனையாக இருக்கின்றது.

 “As for how children were created, it was not discussed much among her friends. No one wants to be known for knowing too much or seeming too willing to discuss anything to do with "the secret parts," which is only one of the many ways Afghan women refer to their reproductive organs. Sex is, by definition, illegal in Afghanistan : The marriage contract is what finally turns it into a permissible act between husband and wife.

Women who live in Afghanistan have an opportunity to embrace, develop, or practice sexuality of any kind. They do not. In  Afghanistan, sex is a means to an end, of adding sons to the family. But nowhere in that equation is a sexual orientation  of preference a factor for women. Having sex with a husband in a forced marriage is an obligation-one fulfilled in order to have it is not a question of lust, willingness, or even conscious choice. To identify as either heterosexual of homosexual, and define what that means, can be very difficult for an Afghan women, who is not even supposed to be at all sexual.”

இவ்வாறான பெண்களின் நிலைமை ஆப்கானிஸ்தானில் இருப்பதாக இந்த நூலைப் படிக்கும் போது, பெண்விடுதலை என்று உலகம் முழுவதும் பறைசாற்றிப்பேசுவதில் அர்த்தமில்லை என்ற எண்ணம் தான் நமக்கு ஏற்படுகின்றது.

ஆப்கானிஸ்தானம் ஒரு பதட்ட பூமியாக கடந்த 20ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக இருந்து வருகின்றது. இந்நிலைமையில் மனித உரிமையும் , பெண் உரிமையும் அங்கு  பேசப்படாத பொருளாக இருப்பதை உணரும் போது,
 நாம்  21ம் நூற்றாண்டில்தான் வாழ்கின்றோமா என்று நினைக்கத் தோன்றுகின்றது.

எப்படி இலங்கையில் ஈழத்தமிழன் சிங்களக் கொடியவர்களால் துரத்தப்பட்டு, ரணத்தை அனுபவித்தானோ அதேப்போலத்தான் ஆப்கனிலும் பெண்களின் நிலைமை இருப்பதை  “ அண்டர்கிரவுண்ட் கேர்ள்ஸ் ஆப் காபூல்” நூலின் மூலம் தெரிந்துகொள்ள முடிகின்றது. அடுத்தவர்களின்  கண்ணுக்கு புலப்படாமல் தலைமறைவாக உரிமைகளை இழந்து ஆசாபாசங்கள் ஏதுமற்ற ஜீவன்களாக ஆப்கன் பெண்கள் இருப்பது எந்த விதத்தில் நியாயம்.

நூலாசிரியர் ஜென்னி நோர்ட்பெர்க் எழுத்து நடையும் நன்றாக உள்ளது. நூலையும் நடையினையும் படிக்கும் ஆர்வத்திலே  ஆப்கன் பெண்கள் படும் துயரங்களை கவனிக்கும் போது கண்கள் குளமாகின்றது.
