Left to Right are seen: John Diefenbaker, PM of Canada who had just been sworn in; Macmillan of Britain; Robert Menzies of Australia; Eric Louw of South Africa; Queen Elizabeth; Suhrawardy from East Pakistan; Nehru; Roy Welensky from Rhodesia; Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana; Tom Macdonald of New Zealand; W H de Silva of Sri Lanka. This particular conference was of great importance because of the Suez crisis that had just happened in 1956 in which Britain had shown its propensity for imperial adventurism. Ghana had become free recently and was the late st addition to the #Commonwealth of Nations. A total ten nations participated. June 1957.
