In Mangala Samaraweera's speech at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva at its 34th sessions,there is nothing about Accountability process which 'Sri Lanka' promised in their Co-sponsored resolution except to state,
'We expect the draft legislation on the Truth-Seeking Commission to be presented to the Cabinet of Ministers within the next two months. Our resolve to bring justice to the victims of human rights violations remains firm.'
This seems to be in unison with the preparation of India by sending their Foreign Secretary to meet Mr.Sampanthan amongst others, Sampanthan's recent speech in the Parliament, so that everything about promise of 'accountability' could be swept under the carpet and finished wit a 'Truth and Reconciliation Commission'.
