The only way to protect Tamils and do justice to the victims and ensure the safety of Tamils in the island is for the UN Human Rights Council to refer Sri Lanka to the UN General Assembly, along with a recommendation to the UN Security Council that Sri Lanka be referred to the International Criminal Court (ICC). We also urge you to create an ad-hoc International Criminal Tribunal on Sri Lanka and appoint a monitoring mission to be present in Sri Lanka to immediately stop the abuse by the occupying military forces of the GoSL.
