#FlashbackFriday to 1945: Flags of the United Nations are waving in the courtyard of San Francisco City Hall.
From April to June 1945, delegates of 50 nations met in San Francisco for the United Nations Conference on International Organization, which resulted in the creation of the UN Charter. The Charter was passed unanimously, signed by all the representatives, and came into force on October 24, which has been celebrated as #UNDay every year since 1948.
Turning 72 years old this past Tuesday, the UN continues to make a difference to the lives of everyone.
