I am writing to propose a deeply significant spiritual initiative that would bring immense joy to the people of southern Tamil Nadu: the establishment of a Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) temple along the Sattur-Kovilpatti National Highway. During your election campaign in Tamil Nadu, you visited on 21-4-2026 my Sattur Assembly constituency in Virudhunagar district. On behalf of the devotees and residents of the area, I would like to submit a humble request for permission and necessary approvals to construct a Tirumala Tirupati Temple along the National Highway between Sattur and Virudhunagar. The region surrounding Sattur, Kovilpatti, and the broader Virudhunagar-Thoothukudi belt is a sacred "Hindu Shaiva-Vaishnavite Bhoomi." The people here are historically and culturally rooted in the worship of Lord Venkateshwara. Establishing a TTD temple here would resonate deeply with the spiritual fabric of this land. This region is inextricably linked to nearby Srivilliputhur, the birthplace of Saint Andal. As you are well aware, there is a profound, centuries-old bond between Srivilliputhur and Tirumala, symbolized by the sacred tradition of offering Andal's garland to Lord Venkateswara during the Brahmotsavam. The people of this region are ardent worshippers of Andal and Lord Balaji, and a local TTD temple would be a crowning celebration of this divine connection. The Sattur-Kovilpatti National Highway is a major arterial route connecting upto Kanniyakumari. A TTD temple located on this bustling corridor would not only serve the dense local population but also provide a sanctuary of peace and devotion for millions of travelers and pilgrims moving across the state. The devotees here would embrace and cherish a direct presence of Tirumala in their homeland, saving them the logistical challenges of traveling far distances to seek Lord Venkateswara's blessings. Under the circumstances, We earnestly appeal to your visionary leadership to facilitate the construction of this temple. It would be a holy sacred service of your wonderful people's government to the devotees of southern Tamil Nadu, cementing a spiritual legacy that will be celebrated for generations to come.
