Launched #Vikram1. Mission Aagaman was Successful.

Vikram-1 is India's first privately developed orbital launch vehicle, built by Hyderabad-based space tech startup Skyroot Aerospace. Named after Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the father of the Indian space program, the rocket is a four-stage small-lift launcher designed to efficiently carry payloads into Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Sun-Synchronous Orbit (SSPO). Key Technical Specifications •Design & Structure: It features a lightweight, all-carbon-composite airframe and is approximately 20 to 24 meters tall with a 1.7-meter diameter. • •Propulsion: The first three stages utilize solid-fuel motors (Kalam series), while the fourth stage employs liquid propulsion (Raman engines) for precise orbital insertion. The engine components are 3D-printed, which cuts lead times and slashes manufacturing costs. • •Payload Capacity: Can carry up to 350 kg to LEO and 260 kg to SSPO (at 500 km altitude). •Launch History Vikram-1 successfully completed its maiden flight on July 18, 2026, during Mission Aagaman. Lift-off took place at 12:05 PM IST from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The rocket successfully injected miniaturized satellites and technology payloads—including symbolic items like the "Cosmic Bloom" and a micro-rocket—into a roughly 450 km orbit. This milestone made India the third country in the world (after the US and China) to have a private industry capable of independently reaching orbit with its own launch vehicle. Skyroot offers an on-demand "cab service" for satellites, providing customers with highly customizable orbital slots and launch schedules. Vikram-1 i APJ Kalam’s dream .
