 Over the past five years, the most important Tamil palm leaf manuscripts in Tamil Nadu have been stolen and smuggled out! In particular, evidence-based information exists that a few individuals, with the support of certain bureaucratic elements, have stolen and removed those that were collected and preserved at Thanjavur Saraswati Mahal, various universities, and various government archives. There is information that they have been smuggled into several European countries such as Germany, Paris, and London. On that basis, in the Bharatiya Janata Party's election manifesto, we had also stated that we would retrieve such stolen palm leaf manuscripts. It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister, who recently visited the Netherlands, has retrieved and brought back Tamil Nadu's bronze plates from Aanai Mangala that were there!

We have sent the Prime Minister information regarding the theft of these palm leaf manuscripts, along with the point-by-point details. Accordingly, I believe appropriate actions will be taken on this. There is information that, rather than through ordinary channels, a CBI investigation into them could also be conducted. All that we are asking is: Who was aiding the gang that stole Tamil Nadu's intellectual wealth, artistic treasures, documented contemporary various types of seasonal agricultural practices, water sources, and environmental notes? Through this, what were the revenues and expenditures? How could someone come from abroad to a country and steal its intellectual wealth? Is that legitimate? How did the group that roamed around chanting "Tamil, Tamil" everywhere and constantly bragging "model, model, model" allow a theft gang smuggling palm leaf manuscripts into Tamil Nadu? If so, what is the international value of those palm leaf manuscripts? How much profit was gained through these thefts? Who all are involved in it?? Investigations into these matters are set to be intensified soon! This has been nothing but an unethical fraud and the act of a gang that sold a country's pride to foreign powers and looted! Soon, all those truths will come out!
