'Encyclopedia of the Madras Presidency and the Adjacent states' edited by V.L. Sastri, is a book that gives extensive knowledge about the Presidency. An Ethnological study, it comprises pictures and illustrations with detailed descriptions of people, places and events of Madras. Published in 1921 by Oriental Encyclopædic Pub. Co. in Madras, probably the only copy available in India, is at Roja Muthiah Research Library.
