சீனாவில் குடும்பத்துக்கு ஒரு குழந்தை திட்டம் முடிவுக்கு வந்தது - Population Control

சீனாவில் மக்கள்தொகைப் பெருக்கத்தைத் தடுத்துநிறுத்த, “ வீட்டுக்கு ஒரு குழந்தை” என்ற திட்டத்தை தற்போது மறுபரிசீலனை செய்து, அதன் செயல்திட்டங்களைக் கைவிடத் தீர்மானித்துள்ளது.

இந்தியாவிலும் நாம் இருவர் நமக்கு ஒருவர் என்ற திட்டத்தை செயல்வடிவம் ஆக்கவேண்டும் என்று சில சட்ட முன்முடிவுகள் நரசிம்மராவ், தேவ கவுடா, வாஜ்பாய் ஆகியோர் பிரதமர்களாக இருந்தபொழுது தயாரிக்கப்பட்டன. ஆனால், 2006ல் இந்த செயல்திட்டம் இந்தியாவில் கைவிடப்பட்டது.

சீனாவில் நடைமுறையில் இருந்த குடும்பத்துக்கு ஒரு குழந்தை திட்டம் இதுமுதல் கைவிடப்படுகிறது.

China Couples will now be permitted to have two children

China’s state-run news agency has announced the country will end its one-child policy. The controversial population control program has been in effect nationwide since 1979, and is estimated to have prevented 400 million births, according to the BBC. Exemptions were often made for certain situations, like families from ethnic minorities or those whose first child was disabled, and penalties for noncompliance have ranged from fines to forced abortions. The result has been a great decline in birth rates, troubling to the country as its population ages.
