For Tamilnadu it’s based on gender. Male: Tamilan Female: Tamilachi

Commonly both genders can be addresses “Tamil”

Calling “Tamilian” with an extra i after l is equal to call a Keralite a “Mallu”.

For Andhra Pradesh, people called here "Andhrulu" or "Teluguvallu". I think it's Andhraite or telugu are wrong

Kannadiga is not gender neutral, Kannadithi is the feminine form for the people of Kannada origin.

A person from Assam is not a Assami (it actually means a convict in many Indian languages) but an Asaamese or more like Okhomia or Oxomia as we like to call ourselves.

Assamese is the eastern most language among all Indo Euro languages and probably the only language in India where the 'kh' sound exists. It exists in German, Russian and a few other languages though. The sound is difficult to write in English and so the letter 'X' is nowadays used. Many people who do not speak Assamese find it difficult to make this sound. This may however happen to anyone trying to speak in a non native language.

Tripura is mix of Bengalis, native tribes of Tripura who speak different languages.
